For my ice carving class, we had the opportunity to sculpt logos. Naturally, I went with the coolest thing I could find...

By the way, is this being preserved or has it melted/smashed into pieces?

It lives on in the college's freezer!

If all goes well, it'll be on my porch for the winter.

It's not *that* hard. Buy yourself a 1 and a half inch chisel, then practice making spheres and cylinders and the like. Of course, getting the ice and obtaining a Dremmel or lightweight electric chainsaw are a bit harder.

As for the specifics, what you do is get a sheet of paper the size of your ice block, draw your picture on it, slap it onto the side of the ice, than trace it on. A dremmel works WONDERS for making this come out clean, so such is highly recommended.

Were they graded?

Also, you should totally make molds of different segments of it and use food colouring to make a colourful version of that sculpture.

The sculpture itself was not graded; instead we are graded for attendance, having our poop in a group, not cutting our fingers off, and the exam.

So I totally had free reign with what I chose.

And yesh, colors would be fantastic. :D

I tucked it carefully away towards the back of the freezer, so it's definitely cooler. :3
